v0.8.1 (what's new) · signed · macOS 12+ or Windows 10+ · 100 writes free · requirements · demo video
GrandPA reads macros, sequences, cues, presets and the patch straight off the console, and your AI explains them in plain English. Reads are free and unlimited.
Say what you want and it's written line by line into the pool. Twenty lines of drudgery in one go, or a single line edited in place.
Your AI writes the Lua, runs it on the desk, reads the output back and fixes what broke. You iterate on a plugin instead of guessing at one.
Hand your AI the patch the production emailed you, PDF or spreadsheet. GrandPA patches what's needed.
Cue list and patch reports as Markdown or CSV, plus native, full-fidelity MA3 XML of any object.
Add any of them from GrandPA's Setup tab, one click each.
Try it on a real show file first. Pay once if it earns its place.
$99 one-time
$99 $59 one-time
Retrieve your key · GrandPA also requires Claude or ChatGPT, which isn't included in the license price. Purchases are handled by our reseller Paddle. See the Terms of Service for the refund policy.
A Mac running macOS 12 or later or a PC running Windows 10 or later (64-bit), grandMA3 onPC running on that same machine, and Claude Desktop, the ChatGPT desktop app or Codex. GrandPA is the bridge between the two — it doesn't include the console software or the AI app.
Yes, with ChatGPT. GrandPA works with Claude Desktop, the ChatGPT desktop app and Codex, and you can add any of them from GrandPA's Setup tab. Those three are the setups we build, test and support. GrandPA is an MCP server, so other MCP-capable apps such as Cursor may be able to drive it, but we can't promise they work.
Yes. GrandPA runs on Windows 10 and later (64-bit) as well as macOS — grab the Windows installer from the top of this page. It installs for your user only and doesn't need admin rights.
The first time you run it, Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC": click More info, check the publisher reads Duolike AS, then Run anyway. Your license isn't tied to a platform — the same key works on either, one machine at a time.
GrandPA talks to the copy of grandMA3 running on the same machine — that part doesn't change. You can join that machine to a multi-user session with a console, and edits GrandPA makes will reach it live.
But that's not what it's built for. GrandPA is a prep and programming tool: work through a local copy of your show file on your computer, then take the finished file to the desk. Driving or editing a live show through a session is at your own risk.
100 write commands, no account and no payment. Reads — inspecting the patch, cues, macros, the programmer — are always free and never counted, so you can point your AI at a real show file and see what it makes of it before spending anything.
Straight away, on the spot. Checkout shows your license key on screen and emails you a copy, and the download is right here on this page — install the app, open GrandPA from its icon (menu bar on a Mac, system tray on Windows) and click Activate License on its License tab, then paste the key. It's the same build as the free trial, so if you already installed it during the trial, just paste the key and the limit disappears.
$99 once. $59 once until the end of 4 October, down from $99. Unlimited commands on one machine, free updates for the life of the license, no subscription and no renewal. Moving to a new machine? Click Deactivate License in GrandPA on the old one to free the seat, then activate with the same key on the new one — a new laptop doesn't cost you a new license.
That's the design goal. Destructive commands
(Delete, Remove, Overwrite)
need explicit confirmation, batches validate before anything is sent,
and a read-only mode blocks every write for
inspection-only sessions. Every single command GrandPA sends is written
to a command log you can read in the app.
Work on a local copy of the file, the way you would in any other prep session — that's the workflow GrandPA is designed around. Using it to run or edit a live show is at your own risk.
Your key is always retrievable from the license page — click "retrieve your key" and we re-send it to the email you bought with. Refund terms are in the Terms of Service; if something's wrong, email support@teamduolike.com.
100 writes free. No account, no card, and reads never count.
